I believe that place based planning creates communities.
Understanding community aspirations can inform the creation of spaces within communities that generate a sense of belonging and connectiveness with the place. People wanting to develop residential spaces or public space can be inspired by others to further their ideas through positive engagement.
No place is the same, and all need to be uniquely defined.
Planning spaces as well as assessment of planning proposals requires an understanding of the role of a multidisciplinary informing the outcome. Working effectively with specialists can enhance development solutions. I believe that good design outcomes come from working with a team of specialists.
I believe that for corporate planning to be successful, customers need to be involved in setting goals. Corporate plans are enhanced by including community engagement activities providing practical goals and performance reporting that addresses community expectations within a legislative framework.
